Children’s books set in New Mexico
Welcome to the children’s books set in New Mexico section of KidsTravelBooks. We’re so glad you’re here.
New Mexico holds a special place in my heart. It is the first state I lived in, ever, after moving to the U.S. from the Philippines when I was one-year-old. However, our stay was short and I left shortly after turning two. Since then I’ve only driven through it a couple of times, but hope to do a more serious trip with my own kids one day.
What types of children’s books about Mexico will you find here?
We have a little bit of everything, but one thing I want to make sure to point out is the Historical New Mexico for Children series. There are only a few listed below, but new books from that series will be added all of the time so be sure to come back to check it out.
What are some bookish things to do in New Mexico for kids?
The Bee Hive bookstore in Sante Fe, New Mexico is a children’s bookstore with books from board book “reading” babies to young adult picks that even adults love.
If you’re visiting in the summer, check their site to see if they’ll be running a writing workshop for children during your trip?
