Children’s books set in Pennsylvania
Welcome to the children’s books set in Pennsylvania section of KidsTravelBooks. Take a look around!
What are some good children’s books about Pennsylvania?
The popular chef, Giada DeLaurentiis has a series of children’s books books about food and travel. One of those books takes place in Philadelphia. What a fun way to learn a little about the city’s food culture before heading there and indulging.
Are there any book-related things to do in Pennsylvania for families?
There are a ton of sites in Pennsylvania that families may be interested in. I’m going to go ahead and link to a few of them that I discovered via Atlas Obscura where you can read for more details. First up, Edgar Allen Poe’s National Historic Site, Rosenbach’s Library holds special book-related firsts and offers family events throughout the year, Phoebe’s Little Waxworks displays shadow boxes filled with recreated children’s book scenes in wax, and a statue to the famous author, Charles Dickens, is special because the author didn’t want any statues made of him – yet Philadelphia made one anyway.
