Children’s books set in Oregon
Welcome to the children’s books about Oregon section of KidsTravelBooks. So glad you’re here. Take a look around to discover Oregon children’s books.
What are some children’s books about Oregon?
Some children’s books about Oregon that I want to highlight include a fun ABC primer set in Oregon, O is for Oregon and the number version, Let’s Count Oregon. Another book that is uniquely Oregon (and other states should either get on board and make their own, or let me know that they have something similar) and it’s Oregon Read Alouds: A Collection of 25 Children’s Stories by Oregon Authors and Illustrators. Pretty cool, eh?
What are some children’s books-related sites in Oregon
Beverly Cleary, famous for the Ramona collection and so much more, was from Oregon. She worked as a librarian in Portland. Many sites in her books are from the area. The library system has created a map of Beverly Cleary sites.
Additionally, there is a Walking with Ramona travel guide that includes photos and more information about the sites.
Enjoy these children’s books set in Oregon and also check out blog posts that highlight Oregon children’s book related things.
