What types of children’s books set in Kentucky do we have?
The board book Good Night Kentucky is not just a fun book for babies sharing the popular Kentucky sites, it’s also a fun souvenir to collect via the Good Night Our World series.
There are two fun alphabet books for Kentucky: B is for Bluegrass by Discover America State by State and D is for Derby, a book concentrating on the A-Zs of the Kentucky Derby.
One of the coolest sites in Kentucky is the National Park, Mammoth Cave. Our family loved the visit and it was while we were there that we heard about the children’s chapter book about the cave, Kids to the Rescue: Adventures in Mammoth Cave.
What are some fun family-friendly bookish sites in Kentucky?
Our family spent spring break in Kentucky a few years ago. We stayed in a small cabin at Jellystone Campgrounds in Cave City near Mammoth Cave. I highly recommend this site for a fun family vacation.
Families visiting Kentucky may be interested in checking out the American Printing House for the Blind. The museum has many hands-on exhibits that will appeal to those interested in learning how the blind are able to read.
