Here at Kids Travel Books we’ve posted a lot of Kid’s Travel Journals Templates and More. I wanted to put them all in one place so you can easily find exactly what you need.
The BOOKS part of Kids Travel Books isn’t just the giant bookshelf of 2,000+ books about destinations around the world. Surprised? That’s right – it also encompasses the books YOU make. Whether that’s photoboooks or travel journals, it’s my opinion that the best travel books to have around the house are the travel books of your family’s travels.

Kid’s Travel Journal Printables
- The first travel journal I ever created for this site was part of an A-Z blogging challenge and included 26 prompts in 26 pages, check out the A-Z Kid’s Travel Journal Templates – Printable
- I recently updated that travel journal to give it a fresh look, add more information about the prompts, and make it so much easier to download (2 downloads instead of 26!) See it here: Updated Template for Travel Journal.
- On my old website, I had a one-page travel journal that I loved and that was featured on several websites. I updated it and posted it here in travel journal for kids template. This post also has an amazing list of supplies.
- Weekend Trip Travel Journals are the perfect slice of record-keeping for quick trips.
- Fall, Autumn, or Thanksgiving Break travel journals – the first in a series of seasonal break journals.
The Updated Travel Journal Template
As mentioned above, I created an Updated Template for a Travel Journal. I like the style so much, I’ve added a few special trip printables to match the style.

All of the travel journals below follow the same style.
- A-Z Travel Journal (or what I like to refer to as the base, 26 pages of prompts that can be used for any single trip or multiple trips)
- Winter Break Travel Journal
- Mountain Trip Travel Journal
- U.S. National Parks Travel Journal
- Florida Beach Trip Travel Journal
Travel Journal Prompts
- In addition to the 26 page A-Z Travel Journal I mention above, there’s a one-page list of all the A-Z prompts – A-Z Travel Journal Prompts
- I also created a list of travel journal prompts that’s good for kids, adults, and, in all honesty, doesn’t even NEED to go into a journal. I think they’re great questions to ask during the trip and help kids really think about what they’re doing.
