Children’s books set in Rhode Island
Welcome to the children’s books set in Rhode Island section of KidsTravelBooks. Right now the collection of books is small, but if you have any recommendations I’d love to hear them. In the meantime, take a look at what we have below.
What are some children’s books about Rhode Island?
In addition to the books below, I thought I’d highlight some books that haven’t made it onto our official bookshelf (this website is a one-woman show, it just takes time!)
What’s Great About Rhode Island? is a book that’s part of a series to help kid’s understand what makes each state special. Also, a unique book I’ve rarely seen available for states is Exploring Rhode Island through Project-based Learning. This one is actually for adults who want to teach their older elementary school kids about the state with fun activities. Pretty cool idea, actually.
What are some family-friendly bookish things to do in Rhode Island?
Any book fan will enjoy the gorgeous Athenaeum which is filled with literary history. But families, don’t despair. They have an equally cool children’s area that’s free from technology allowing kids to do what they should do best – snuggling up to a book. Please note: there are fun events throughout the year, double check their website before your visit to see what they have going on and make reservations if necessary. You won’t want to miss out. Here are some hotels in Providence.
