CHILDREN’S BOOKS SET IN OHIO
Welcome to the Children’s books set in Ohio section of KidsTravelBooks. So glad you’re here.
What kind of children’s books about Ohio will you find here?
Right now there aren’t too many listed below. However, one really cool book for kids is It Came from Ohio!: My Life as a Writer. This is RL Stine’s, yes, the author of the popular children’s book series Goosebumps!, autobiography. He tells about his childhood in Ohio, which I think is a good fit for an aspiring writer, someone visiting Ohio, or a Goosebumps! fan.
And if you do have an aspiring writer on your hands, you may want to check out the Masterclass in which R.L. Stine Teaches Writing for Young Audiences.
What are some family-friendly bookish events in Ohio?
Thanks to Atlas Obscura for their cool resources and providing insight on the annual Dickens Victoria Village. This tradition in Cambridge, Ohio showcases 92 Dickens scenes during the months of November and December. What a way to spend the holidays!
Visiting Cleveland, Ohio?
One of my fellow blogging friends, Tonya Prater, co-wrote the book of 100 Things to Do in Cleveland Before You Die.
Check it out before planning a trip or, if you live nearby, to use it as a checklist of activities. There’s something for everyone from single adventures, couples outing, to family travel fun.
