Books set in New York
While you’re checking out the many books set in New York for your kids, you may want to try a few for yourself. Some of my favorites include these:
Edward Rutherfords’ New York: The Novel is an epic tale that spans generations. It’s a commitment, but the payout leaves you with a fun understanding and overview of the city through the years. Reading this book had me interested in learning more about the history, so I also read Amsterdam: A History of the World’s Most Liberal City AND The Island at the Center of the World: The Epic Story of Dutch Manhattan and the Forgotten Colony That Shaped America.
There are so many great books set in NY. Check out this list and here.
