I love travel journals for kids. For me, it’s more than just making memories. I actually think they have the power to enhance the vacation. That’s why I have a lot of kid’s travel journal resources on this site – including this very special 26-page Kids’ Travel Journal Printable.

How do travel journals help in vacations?
With the right prompts, either from the journal or (in the case of travel kids) the parents or (as they get older) from their own thoughts and interests, travel journals give people the actively travel. Instead of just seeing, for example, the Eiffel Tower – travel journals give them the chance to think about what they’re seeing and put it to paper.
A travel journal prompts can encourage them to think about the things they love about where they’re visiting, why they love it, what it reminds them of from their home or other travels. It makes them have connections between what they see, what they think, and what they write. It’s important because they think it’s important.
Parents worry that travel isn’t worth it because they aren’t going to remember it anyway. Even if they never look at the travel journal again, they’ll remember a lot more than if they were dragged from one place to another.
And when all is said and done – they make the BEST souvenirs.
What’s so special about this travel journal?
I made this journal printable as a series of separate posts in April 2016. It was part of a Blogging from A-Z challenge, which encouraged bloggers to write one blog post a day focused on a letter of the alphabet. I decided to up the challenge by creating a printable, a travel journal printable, with the associated letter prompt.
They’re fun for kids because it gets them actively thinking about trip things through the familiar alphabet. It’s insightful – their insight.
Keep in mind, the original series of posts were separate posts. So the printables are available as a series of separate printables. You have to download each page separately. You can pick and choose the ones you like, or save each one.
