Kids Travel Journal: O is for Opinions

Let’s keep it simple.

Some parts of the travel journal are fact finding. Some are story telling. Some are counting. Some are reflecting. Some are collecting.

This one is easy. What do you think of where you are? Give this prompt to your kids and allow them the opportunity to really think about what they’re experiencing. Whether they want to comment on the whole trip, or a specific attraction – let them explore their true thoughts about it.

I think this is especially helpful when they helped planned a portion of the trip. Let’s say they wanted to go to a natural history museum. How did their expectations compare to their reality?

BONUS: This type of journaling helps in future trip planning.
