Throughout the month of April I will participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge. My theme? the ultimate Kids’ Travel Book: the kid’s own travel journal.
Each day in April I will post a prompt based on the letter of the day and some thoughts on the prompt. (April 1 = A, April 2 = B…) Well, every day except Sunday.
My posts will include: a prompt, a downloadable that will be free for the duration of the challenge, questions to help visitors leave a comment, and a link to another challenge participant.
At the end of the month, if you follow along, you will have 26 awesome prompts for your kids to use on your next trip, and 27 new websites to follow (including mine). You will also have 26 downloads that will make the best keepsake.
If you’d like to receive a free downloadable cover for their travel journal, please subscribe to the kids travel books newsletter. (Link is at the end of the post.)

Kids Travel Journal: B is for Business Cards
Let’s face it, kids love collecting things on trips.
Business cards make awesome collectables. They’re free for the parents. They have addresses (and local language) on them. And they are tiny reminders of what you did during the trip.
Three ways to use Business Cards in Travel Journals
- If you’re buying a separate journal you can use business cards as the prompt for each page. Eating at a restaurant, slap a business card at the top and write or draw about your experience.
- Use the business cards AS a travel journal. Most business cards have enough white space on it that kids can record their thoughts about the business right on the card. Or use a 5-star system and the date visited as a reminder. Hole punch one corner and attach a group of them together with a binder ring. VOILA – tiny travel journal.
- Add a special business card section to your travel journal. Use my free printable and attach your favorite business cards to the printable. Or get trading card page protectors to put collected cards in. Super easy.
Alternatively – replace the word business card with brochure and do the same things.

Question for the commenters
I know a big part of the A-Z Challenge is meeting other bloggers and leaving comments. So, to help those of you leaving comments, you can either comment on something above or let me know –
What are your favorite kinds of business cards? Any that you’ve seen that have stood out to you?
And next…
Every day during the challenge I’ll be linking to another participant. Today’s lucky participant is…
Under Jazminn Skyes and her theme is Preparing for Takeoff!
By the way, I’m currently away from internet spending Spring Break with my family. If I don’t get back to you when you leave a comment, I will definitely respond and visit you when I get back. Tuesday at the latest. Thanks for visiting, please come back because I do have a fun post scheduled for tomorrow. And by fun I mean another prompt for a kids’ travel journal and an even more incredibly awesome download.

This is a fun idea. I love writing journals and tried scrapbooking too, but never a business card. I love your idea of providing free templates 🙂 Very handy.
