Description
One of the first children’s books I ever asked for as an adult, before I even had kids, was Mo Willem’s Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!
I got two copies of it that year.
I cherished both. I reluctantly parted with one at my best friend’s baby shower.
I’ve tried to figure out a way to include a Mo Willem’s book in this directory, but I couldn’t stretch the “driving a bus” or “staying up late” concepts to be travel related. Though, yes, technically bus is travel. But, ***spoiler alert*** the pigeon never actually gets to drive it.
Anyway, one of the Knuffle Bunny books involves a trip to the Netherlands. I have to read it again, though, to double check. Regardless, I’m excited to see a Mo Willems chapter book set in Paris. Here’s the official description from IndieBound.
Diva, a small yet brave dog, and Flea, a curious streetwise cat, develop an unexpected friendship in this unforgettable tale of discovery.
For as long as she could remember, Diva lived at 11 avenue Le Play in Paris, France. For as long as he could remember, Flea also lived in Paris, France-but at no fixed address. When Flea fl neurs past Diva’s courtyard one day, their lives are forever changed. Together, Diva and Flea explore and share their very different worlds, as only true friends can do.
