This is my second time doing this challenge.
The first time was in 2014. In another blog.
I’m happy to say, I FINISHED IT!
What is the A-Z Blogging Challenge?
For those of you unfamiliar with this challenge, let me explain. Throughout the month of April, bloggers around the world will write about one topic a day every day. Except Sunday. And the participants will do this alphabetically. April 1 is “A”, April 2 is “B”, and so on.
Pretty easy.
Except it’s also really hard.
I decided to give it a go this year for a number of reasons.
- It’s fun.
- It really is a challenge, though.
- I want to meet other bloggers.
- I want to share my site with more people.
- I want to more than double the amount of posts on this site (as I’m currently sitting on around 21 posts and this will add, you guessed it, 26).
I signed up in late February and have been thinking about what my theme was going to be. After lots of consideration, and many ideas vetoed by myself, I came upon the perfect theme for this site.
Kids Travel Books A-Z Theme Reveal
Yes. I’m doing travel journal prompts for kids!
And an accompanying free download of a travel journal page using that prompt!
I’ll also write a bit about the prompt, add some book suggestions that begin with the letter of the day, some tools to help create an awesome travel journal, and a link to another challenge participant. People in the family travel, travel, or kids books arena gettin priority.
More about the Kids’ Travel Journal Printable
By the end of April, if you followed along, you will receive 26 travel journal printable page that can be used over and over again! How awesome is that?
Each downloadable page will be free until the date of the A-Z Blogging Challenge reflections post. After that, there will be a fee.
In addition to all the free prompts, printables, book and tool suggestions, and links to other bloggers, I’m offering a FREE cover page for the travel journal for anyone who signs up for the Kids’ Travel Book newsletter between today and the reflection date (which is still to be determined, but should be in May.) (And doesn’t this sound like an infomercial? Sorry about that!)
You can sign up for the newsletter below.

What a great theme, Ann! When kids are being encouraged to write and travel at an early age, that can only lead to good things, like acceptance, healthy curiosity, tolerance, understanding, open mindedness… I love it! I have always wanted a child myself to be able to home school him/her during my lifetime travels! Good luck with the challenge and I wish you a massive sign-up!

Love this idea! We are about to travel to Australia with our boys. I’m not on twitter though, can I sign up/download another way? Cheers!
ktbooks says
I’ve always wanted to go to Australia!
You don’t need to go to twitter to download the travel journal. I have a link to the posts here: http://kidstravelbooks.com/kids-travel-journal-printable-download/ (though give a moment as I have to update the letters).
By the end of the month I’ll have all letters A-Z.
If you want to get the cover page for it, you do have to subscribe to my newsletter. The link is at the bottom of the website and at the end of posts. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Also, I’d love to see how you use it!
