I’m always intrigued by what people are reading and looking for for their kids.
I thought I’d take a few minutes to highlight some of the most popular books that have come been searched on our site for 2018.

Living in… Mexico
by Chloe Perkins and illustrated by Tom Woolley
The Living in series was popular on this site in 2018. I think it’s partially due to the fact that this site is geared towards kids. The Living In series is part of the Ready to Read books to help kids learn to read. They are nicely illustrated and packed with easy to understand information about the country. The low price point (typically under $4 and also available at the same price on the kindle) attributes to it’s popularity.

Building on Nature: The Life of Antoni Gaudi
by Rachel Victoria Rodriguez and illustrated by Julie Paschkis
I’m not sure what lead to this book’s popularity on our site this year. From what I can see, it gained interest via Pinterest. Sometimes things just click. Maybe this was the year for art and destination. Or maybe a lot of visitors are heading to Spain and want to learn more about La Sagrada Familia’s designer.

A Year Full of Stories: 52 classic stories from all around the world
by Angela McAllister and illustrated by Christopher Corr
I purchased this book at least in early 2018, if not earlier. I love the format of having a short story about a holiday celebrated somewhere in the world for each month/week of the year. I know that I’ve mentioned it a few times on twitter and FB, but I think it’s popularity is because it’s a cool book. People loving having a good bed time book and this more than fits the bill.

Living in… Italy
by Chloe Perkins and illustrated by Tom Woolley
While this was the second most visited book on KidsTravelBooks, I really thought it was going to be number one. It’s a cute book. I already wrote above why I love the Living In… series. If my life as a travel agent was any indicator, people love traveling to and learning about Italy. So, I’m not surprised that this is in the top 5 at all.

The London Activity Book
by Ellen Bailey and Julian Mosedale, illustrated by Andrew Pinder
And the most popular book for 2018 – the London Activity Book. This was a bit of a shocker for me until I realized that I, myself, have been intrigued by London lately. Probably because of the Royal Wedding. And, there are probably many people out there that feel the same way.
