One of the most fun ways for kids to spend the hours of a road trip is with a good game of road trip bingo. My kids love it. I don’t know why, but they do. So I created a few road trip bingo printables for your family’s enjoyment.
Let me take a moment to explain what you get. I have 4 different styles of boards:
- Road signs only
- Photo images you might encounter on a road trip
- Color illustrations
- Black and white illustrations
For each of those, I have two variations available. That way if two people are doing it at the same time and want to use the same board style, they don’t have the same exact setup and call bingo at the same time. However, there are a total of 8 variations – so these work for larger families, too!
Each download includes 1 of each style.

Sometimes you may want to make your own bingo board, so I include also have a blank board. You can use it for things like:
- fill in 24 state license plates and mark them off as you see them
- a bingo song version of what you might hear on the radio
- key landmarks you’ll pass on your trip
Bingo Card tips
Has the world come to the point where I’m actually blogging bingo card tips? Yes!
My suggestion to have these last as long as possible is to laminate them, or put them in page protectors, and use dry erase markers to mark off the finds.
Play alternate types of bingo. Sometimes 5 in a row works. Sometimes you might want to make the letter “L” or “C”. Or maybe the four corners. Or a cross. And when it’s a particularly long road trip – fill the whole board!
Use one set on the way to your destination, and another set on your way back.
Have little prizes available for the winner.
Make it a joint effort and fill in a board as a family instead.
I hope you enjoy! Please remember that these are for private use only. If you love them and want to share with your friends, please send them to our site. We appreciate the support!
