One of the most popular books people love on this website is a London Activity Book. I know why. Getting kids interested in learning about a new place can be difficult. Using activity books to help makes it more fun, more interactive, and helps them remember the things they also happen to be learning about at the same time. So I thought I’d help by creating a download for Children’s activities for learning more about London.

I’m trying a new thing on this site. And this is it – welcome.
I’m creating free travel activity downloads to help parents make learning about different places more fun.
This is the first one: a learning printable for London.
Let’s see what’s included:

and one more page!
These activities include a mapping exercise, fun with cutting out characters and using those cut-outs to make a fun scene (record those scenes for even more fun), a coloring sheet for afternoon tea with information about having one at home, and space for a wishlist of things to do in London based off of the books read.
Additional Resources
The whole goal is to use this with children’s books, so check out these children’s books in England and our post for the best children’s books for a trip to London.
While reading the books, use a map of London to point out some of the places they mentioned. This tourist leaflet of London includes the underground and overground bus maps.
It’s always fun to try new foods when learning about a new place. One of my favorite country history and resource pages is at Food By Country.
