Her guest post today is for the ongoing series on this site, Bookstore Love. She shares why Bethany Beach Books attracted her when she visited during an author visit and book signing. Nestled in the heart of “downtown” Bethany Beach, is an independent bookstore who has serves as an anchor of the community welcoming locals and visitors alike!
My visit to the Bethany Beach Bookstore was a scheduled author visit and book signing. Upon walking it, I first noticed the bright and welcoming entrance and layout. The well-organized departments made it easy to navigate between the different areas. Staff welcomed customers. They were well informed and demonstrated their love of books.
I immediately fell in love with their children’s corner. The displays allowed you to read the book’s credentials and then be teased by the cover. The store’s presentation encouraged curiosity, which then encouraged customers to pick up books for a sample read. The store recognized that there is a book for everyone and engages with their customers to introduce them to new titles and help them find the “perfect” choice.
On this corner in Bethany Beach, customer service was alive. I easily understood why the store has become a beloved destination by all!
