It’s another Free Printable Friday here at Kids Travel Books. This is a good one. Since my kids were born I’ve kept a log of the hotels, rentals, and even cruise ships we stayed at. I love this log because it is an awesome glimpse of our travels. It’s one of my favorite souvenirs that requires no extra cost. It was also the easiest way to “journal” when I had two under two and didn’t have the time for a travel journal.
Now that my kids are older, I have the time to journal – but I still keep track of our stays. I collect our hotels in a little journal I got on a trip to Dublin. For most trips, I keep the journal at home. I’ll add the hotel information in Evernote or in an email to myself with #whereweslept so I can easily update my journal when we get home.
I wanted to provide a free download for my readers today because I love my book so much. Although I have a bound journal that I use, I thought a 4×6 format would be perfect. You can check out my post from last week to see why I like this option so much. But, to recap a few things:
- Use Matte Photo Paper
- Print on a home printer – the matte paper at a photoshop is not the same
- Print like you would print photos (the journal is a jpeg and not a pdf)
- Make sure it’s borderless
- Combine these with photos from your trip, write more trip notes on the back, keep them separate in a photo box, or put them in a photo album.
Unlike last week I can’t make a video or take pictures of the journal directly. Unfortunately, my printer stopped working. Here are the images of the journal.
