Booklist’s review of the Wicked History series including Otto von Bismarck is a good read. (You can check it out at the Amazon link for the book here.) I’m not as familiar with Otto von Bismarck specifically, but I do like the idea of a well-written, age appropriate book using the idea of a wicked leader to entice children to read and learn more about them. This is, in a nutshell, a book about Otto von Bismarck for kids.

Germany became Germany under Otto Von Bismarck. Before then, it was divided into separate states and Otto von Bismarck was in charge of Prussia.

As mentioned above, von Bismarck might not seem an obvious choice for a book series devoted to “wicked” people in history. Still this series offers it’s young readers an age-appropriate look at the subjects. In this case it shows what von Bismarck is known for and gives them an opportunity to see if that is, indeed, wicked.

It’s also a good read for students interested in 19th century Germany.
