Antarctica is a continent located in the southern hemisphere, the southernmost continent, where the South Pole is located.
Antarctica is not a country and does not have a capital.
There is no currency in Antarctica, but the U.S. Dollar, Euro, and Pound Sterling are accepted.
The two most widely spoken languages in Antarctica are Russian and English. There isn’t an official language.
For kids interested in learning more about Antarctica they may also want to study penguins and geology.
